THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA WILL BE PROVIDING INDIVIDUAL RECYCLING BINS FOR EACH RESIDENT OF OUR VILLAGE. PROGRAM WILL BEGIN IN OCTOBER, 2026. MORE INFORMATION WILL FOLLOW, INCLUDING WHEN THE BINS WILL BE DELIVERED. NEW INFORMATION IS NOW AVAILABLE SEE INFORMATION UNDER UTILITY SERVICES BYLAWS
EFFECTIVE OUR NEXT BILL, OUR RATE FOR WATER WILL INCREASE BY $10 PER MONTH. THIS INCREASE IS A RESULT OF THE COST OF WATER WE RECEIVE FROM THE DRUMHELLER WATER PLANT THROUGH STARLAND REGIONAL WATER AUTHORITY. PLEASE SEE RATES AND FEES BYLAW #401 IN OUR BYLAW SECTION
The Village of Morrin has contracted a Bylaw Officer from Tempest Solutions, a security Company, on 4 hour per week contract beginning September 1, 2026. You will see our Bylaw Officer in Uniform with his own Company Vehicle. He is hired on this weekly basis until some issues have been addressed and then he will work 8 hours per month as required.
VILLAGE OF MORRIN LAND USE BYLAW OPEN HOUSE SEPTEMBER 17, 2026 4 TO 7 PM AT THE VILLAGE OFFICE.
The Village of Morrin is preparing a new Land Use Bylaw, the document that guides how land is used, subdivided and developed across the Village . The new Bylaw will replace the current Bylaw with clearer rules that reflect how Morrin is today.
Drop in any time during the open house to review the draft, talk with the project team, and share what matters to you. There is no formal presentation , so come whenever it suits your schedule
